Hollydale Golf Course

Hollydale Golf Club & Hollydale Golf Course
Playing November golf here in Minnesota is a gift. I played Hollydale Golf Course on Monday 11/16 with a warm 51 degree sun shining over frozen ponds. By the end of the round as the sun set on the horizon, the temperature had dropped to a cool 39 F.
Below are some photos from what may have been the most fun afternoon of the year. My score you ask? ….. 76. I think I played better than that number, by my short game let me down on the back nine.

Driving Range Used Golf Balls

Killer Bee Helicopter Golf After my last trip to the Hollydale Driving range … you would think that I would have picked a new, better, and safer place to practice the ancient Chinese art of Ninjitsu Golf. Well, I did not.
First off, the skies were very clouded with smoke from all the fires in the area. Ernest T Bass was on another burning mission – the bastard. Andy should have NEVER let him out of jail.
Second, my horoscope said to avoid pastures. Hollydale Golf Range is a pit.
Being the modern day rebel savant I am, I threw caution to the wind, and then some grass to gage it’s strength and direction.
As I tee up my first ball, a giant Drowsey Monkey doll came tumbling out of the sky like a meteorite from Uranus. Freaky man, really freaky. Stranger yet was the bulls eye target on the dolls chest. I took it as a sign of destiny and fate! With the biggest rotation possible in my old spine, I coiled back to punish my ball outward with ultra high velocity in an attempt at dropping one right in the bread basket (so to speak).
Just as I made contact with my Fukijiama 460cc driver, here comes a helicopter with a giant man headed hornet. It might have been a yellow jacket … not sure. Anyway, if you would stop talking and pay attention to my story – “sheesh”, maybe we can both get to the end of this post together.

. . . thanks for reading, grab some carmelcorn on your way out.

Giant Golf Club un retouched ... just turned out this way!I had almost given up hope for another round of golf here in the North Country. Just two weeks ago I was taking pictures of snow on the ground. Today was windy, but in the upper 50’s … seemed really warm compared to recent temperatures. You cannot let an opprotunity like this to go to waste!
Best part of my round, and entire year for that matter, was an eagle 2 on hole #12. It’s a shorty par four measuring 320 yards, and my drive landed on the green – 8ft from the pin.
Sometimes life is really tough, and other times it seems like heaven. Today was most definately in the latter catagory.

huge squash golf trophy I even won the coveted “Gordo Trophy” ….
